Meet Wendy

Twenty-nine years ago, Wendy was in a car accident that was one of those life defining moments that changed the course of her life. It was a catalyst to a sometimes difficult journey of healing that shaped the course of her destiny.

Shortly after being in the car accident she had the fortune of meeting Dr. Deepak Chopra while working as a concierge at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. It happened to be that just for a few moments it was only him and Wendy in the lobby so she walked up to him and asked, “How old were you when you found your peace?” She wasn't even sure where that question came from.

He replied that he had a book for her to read and would be right back. He returned with his book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, and signed it “To Wendy, Wishing you joy and fulfillment in all of your desires, Deepak Chopra.” Wendy went home and was instantly drawn into the book.

The book inspired her the moment she read the first quote:

You are what your deep, driving desire is as your desire is, so is your will, as your will is, so is your deed, as your deed is, so is your destiny. - Brihadaranyaka Upanishad IV.4.5

It is at this point that Wendy began to see a glimpse of the spiritual nature of this journey. She went into the hotel the next day and resigned, in search of deep introspection and her destiny. She wanted to understand what this car accident and neck injury had to do with her life purpose.

Wendy grew up in South Africa and her father was an old fashioned family Doctor. Ever since she could remember, Western Medicine was a way of life for her family. If they were feeling sick, her dad prescribed pills or antibiotics.

It was difficult for Wendy to realize that conventional Western Medicine was not enough to heal her, and so begun her search into Alternative Medicine. She searched the world for healing and envisioned opening a Wellness Center for twenty-five years. A “Blank Canvas of Healing,” a collective Intelligence of both Eastern and Western Medicine, providing people with a community of healers and resources to help them achieve wellness.

In opening Roslyn Salt Cave, Wendy feels like she is walking in her dream and destiny. Her wish is that you find something in this wonderful community of authentic healers that resonates with your Mind, Body and Spirit and helps to guide you to achieve your wellness goals.
